Middle Branch Birding & Nature Tours: Middle Branch Park

Introduction

Join WOCO Hike & Sound Healing and Kojo Baidoo, in collaboration with the South Baltimore Gateway Partnership, for the first experience in our South Baltimore Urban Shoreline Tour Series on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at Middle Branch Park.

Together, we’ll explore the Middle Branch shoreline through birding, environmental education, community science, and mindful nature observation. Along the way, we’ll uncover the relationship between South Baltimore communities and their waterfront, explore how the shoreline is changing through ecological restoration, and learn how trees, wetlands, birds, and healthy habitats contribute to a more resilient Baltimore.

Birds will serve as a powerful thread connecting our experience. With guidance from Kojo the Birder, we’ll look for resident and migratory species such as herons, egrets, osprey, cormorants, gulls, ducks, and songbirds while learning how birds respond to changes in habitat.
