Spring New Moon
Sun, Apr 14
|Great Falls Park
Fulfilling intentions with the moon phases. Today we hike under the new moon phase which is the first of all moon phases. Astronomically, it occurs when the moon is the closest to the sun as seen from the Earth. This is the time to input energy into the things you'd like to see manifest.

About the event
Join us for hiking, yoga, sound healing and so much more. April is finally here! We can now visually see the transformations of nature we longed for all winter. We are glad to have you with us as we, together, continue our own patterns of growth and expansion. Today we hike under the new moon phase which is the first of all moon phases. Astronomically, it occurs when the moon is the closest to the sun as seen from the Earth. This takes place right in the middle of the dark moon period so the moon is not visible at this time unless there is a solar eclipse when its shadow is visible against the sun. During new moon phases it is the perfect time to align your intent with your highest purpose and begin to engage in your projects, works, and the things you’d like to see manifest. The moon is waxing as the days continue forward. Again, this is the time to put energy into whatever it is that you are doing so that when the full moon arrives, you will begin to see the fruits of your labor.
As always, our hikes are 100% free ! All that is required is that you register so we have a count of attendees. Bring yourself and a friend as we connect with nature and one another!
DAY BREAKDOWN
We will meet a the Great Falls Trail Parking lot on the left (from from 495W) We will enjoy a rather scenic trail perfect for anyone in good shape! You do not have to be a professional in order to hike this trail but you do have to be willing to travel up hill a bit.
Close to 1:15pm we will pause for a group meditation to reflect on intention and reset our bodies with deep stretching and yoga & finally the healing sounds of the flute by Toshima Cook and Crystal & Tibetian Singing Bowl vibrations by Ralinda near the waterfall along the trail. We will finish the loop to arrive back at our starting point.
We will return to our original place of meeting, recap on the day, and give information for our next hike!
